This is what happens when you get lazy and ask a guy to shop for veggies when he is out ...
Can anyone suggest ways to utilise them before i have to throw them away?
P.S.
- No we don't have a party this week.
- And we are just two.
- Arrrrr... Do i cook everyday??? No.
- We don't have king size diet either !

Hahaha, oh my gosh! That's a massive amount of veggies. I think you're going to have to make a big pot or two of soup or some kind of curry and freeze it. I always make big portions of whatever I'm making so I can freeze the leftovers. That way I have home prepared meals on the nights when I don't want to cook. :-) Good luck!
living life the king size ;)
Oh my...! Was he planning on inviting the entire neighbourhood for dinner? :o)
Anyway, they all look sooooo good...
As Lizzy suggests, you can make a soup or a curry and freeze it.
Another option I thought was to make a pie with puff pastry, the veggies and a creamy cheese, nicely seasoned, and then you freeze the portions.
It'd be a pity if they went to waste!!
Arey!Do one thing send it to my place!!
Ok on a serious note vegetable biryani bana lo!
And next day veg fried rice :D
And yaa...carrots ka juice bana lo!!(I hate it..but you can add ah...honey to it..it'd taste a bit better)..or else with the same thing you can make gajar ka halwa!!
and..and...arey!Gobi se..gobi manchuria!!!
And..abhi tak ka yeh mera sabse bada comment tha on ur site...so don't be mistaken k I spent my time in kitchen...the thing is...I see my mom recycling things so ;)
Make sambar. Lots of it. Store it and it will last for 3 to 4 days. Njoy.
So more or less, everyone is advising to cook in quantities and freeze !!!
Ashu, are you reading this??
hehehe
@ Lizzy
Ohh ya i cannot tell you how surprised was I when i saw him standing there holding those bags !
Only problem with me is, when i freeze leftover, only i would be eating that next day and anyway i have to cook again for him ! :(
@ Vivek
ya and with that I am also becoming king size now !!
@ Aledys Ver
hehehe, i wish i knew entire neighbourhood, lol ;)
yeah i don't like anything going waste, that is one of the reason of my increasing weight !
@ nameera
hehehe, cool eventhough you don't cook you quite a lot observe your mom, that is a way to go girl, that is how i learn kitchen magics from mom ;) keep it up :D
gajar ka halwa is on my list too, as that is fav of patidev, and i suspect that is the hidden intention behind those carrots ;)
I love biryani, but Ashu, depends on his mood ! and i eat all the vegetables, but man he is choosy !
Then what was he thinking, was i going to eat all these veggies !
@Anuj
Thanks for dropping by...
So are you a south Indian sambhar lover??? hehehe
Btw I love sambhar too but sambar using cabbage, cauliflower, tindola, carrot? hehehe.....
From all things in display i would put only brinjals and lady fingers from them.... but wait... to consume all quantity ... that sambhar is going to lasts for weeks then ... lol
Ah totally uncool. I just wrote a long comment and right when I hit submit my wireless went kaput. Grr. Okay well here goes again, lol.
Firstly, why are all men like this? My dad does the same thing when he's asked to buy a few veggies, lol. I'd use those carrots and make some yummy carrot halwa..mmm. Though that's probably the last veggie you need to worry about cause they last forever.
Looks like it's going to be stir-fried veggies all week. ;p Ooh, or you could make gobi manchurian. Or i could just stop perving over delish food and go grab a snack, heh. Have fun rocking the chef hat all week long! :)
Oh cmon give the guy some slack! You can make a great soup of this...you are set for a week! hehe
Make a mix vegetable, chop them into smaller one.. You can boil or put some oil and small chopped onions , put the vegetables and let it sim for 15 to 20 minutes under a cover.
Make a salad, sprinkle the lemon..
haha..tho banaya kya? vegetable carving?? :p..my cooking skills are so terrible that I cant event suggest something proper...
All I can think of is soup, like Lizzy & Swatantra say! ;-) Especially with the colder weather beginning to settle-in. I think Thamarai's comment is also cute: vegetable carving :-)
throw the carrots this side. i love them. :-) Stock them if you can-after cooking, before cooking, whatever!
Make Bhaji-Pav. So you will be out of half of these vaggis. Put Chiily in freezer!!! Use Tinde first...
@ Archana
